As a part of Field Station: Concordia we teamed up with the New England Leaf Out Project on a citizen science project to collect leaf out times in the spring of 2013 and 2014.

We investigated the effects of climate change on the tree species of New England. Using both remote sensing and direct observations, we monitored leaf out times across the region, and whether trees leaf out earlier now than they did in the past due to warming temperatures.
